Overview

Gut-Buddy is a clinician-designed digital health platform focused on managing IBS and chronic gut conditions through a combination of medical care, behavioural therapy, diet management, and lifestyle interventions. Operating in a fast-growing digital health segment, the platform set out to solve a critical gap — the lack of continuous, personalised, accessible gut-health care. We built a scalable, AI-driven care ecosystem enabling personalised treatment journeys while reducing dependency on manual intervention.

Approach

How we solved it.

A four-layer system: AI-powered CBT therapy with NLP mood detection, intelligent diet automation, an adaptive yoga and lifestyle engine, and continuous monitoring with a clinical dashboard.

IBS and chronic gut patients faced inconsistent outcomes, generic diets, and no continuous monitoring. Stress correlates with gut health but wasn’t integrated into care.

    An AI-powered CBT module delivering guided therapy through a conversational interface. NLP analyses user inputs in real time to detect stress, mood, and emotional patterns — providing coping mechanisms and behavioural interventions aligned to the user’s state. Therapy becomes continuous, not session-dependent.

    Intelligent Diet Automation Layer

    A diet engine that translates clinical prescriptions into adaptive, real-world meal plans — factoring in IBS type, allergies, cultural preferences, and past adherence. Users receive living, evolving plans rather than static charts.

    Adaptive Lifestyle & Yoga Integration

    An AI-driven lifestyle engine recommends yoga routines based on symptom severity and stress levels — sessions dynamically adjust intensity and focus, targeting digestion, gut mobility, and relaxation.

    Continuous Monitoring & Clinical Intelligence

    A real-time tracking system captures symptoms, meals, stress, sleep, and activity. AI models identify trigger correlations and flare-up patterns, feeding a centralised clinical dashboard that improves diagnosis accuracy and treatment planning.
